Bajaj Institute of Technology (BIT) is the premier institute in Wardha offering B.Tech. Degree Programme in Engineering since 2017 with intake capacity of 300. BIT is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU) which is a State Technological University of Maharashtra. It is a Linguistic Minority (Hindi) Institute in which 51% seats are reserved for Hindi linguistic Maharashtra State domicile candidates.

Regarding Minority Seats

All admissions are through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. All seats are filled on the basis on Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, (MHT-CET) and The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). BIT offers 51% seats for Hindi lunguistic students(Students whose mother tongue is Hindi).

Eligibility Criteria
B.Tech. First Year

  • Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates
    • The Candidate should be an Indian National;
    • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical /Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
    • The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should have obtained non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
    • OR
    • Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates of Maharashtra State only)
  • All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrants Candidature Candidates.
    • Similar conditions as above, except JEE main Paper I marks will be considered. Preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE (Main) Paper I over the candidates who obtained non zero score in CET.
  • B.Tech. Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry)
    • The Candidate should be an Indian National;
    • Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent;
    • OR
    • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject : Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
    • Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate statutory authority.
Admissions against CAP
The institution shall carry out the admissions for these seats in the following manner:
  • The institution will invite applications by advertisement on the website of the institution and in the newspaper.
  • Admissions shall be made transparently and strictly as per the Inter-Se-Merit of the Candidates who have applied to the Institution.
  • The preference shall be given to Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate over All India Candidature Candidate based on Inter-Se-Merit.
  • The institute after verification of all required documents shall prepare and display the Inter-Se-merit lists of the Candidates on the notice board and shall publish the same on the website of the institution.
  • All the admissions and cancellations shall be updated instantly through online system.
  • The Admission Process will be strictly as per guidelines of Government of Maharashtra's State Common Entrance Test Cell
