BIT hosts AVISHKAR 2022 – A State Level Research Competition Bags 8 Medals

Wardha, Dec 12 – Bajaj Institute of Technology (BIT), Wardha hosted Vidarbha level zonal round of AVISHKAR 2022 – a state level inter-university research competition organized by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), in which the students of BIT bagged 5 Gold and 3 Silver medals. AVISHKAR 2022 is an annual research competition that aims to inculcate the culture of innovation amongst the students from various streams. This competition is initiated by the Governor of Maharashtra State and DBATU has conducted it in three rounds at institute level, zonal level and University level. The students selected through the zonal round represent the University at state level.
The zonal round of Avishkar 2022 was inaugurated by Dr. Narendra Kanhe, Principal, BIT wardha. Around 36 institutes affiliated to DBATU across Vidarbha participated in for poster and model presentation. The wide ranged themes for presentations included Engineering & Technology, Commerce, Management and Law, Agriculture & Animal Husbandry, Medicine & Pharmacy, Humanities, Languages & Fine Arts, and Pure Sciences. The event was monitored by observers of DBATU Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar and Mr. Praful Bhagat.
Students of BIT, Wardha registered maximum 8 wins in the competition including 5 Gold and 3 Silver medals. In Engineering and Technology theme, Electrical Engineering students of BIT, Wardha – Mayur Tadas bagged gold while Anukul Kamble bagged silver medal. Radhika Tiwari from Civil Engineering and Vishnu Mate from Computer Engineering of BIT were awarded gold and silver medal respectively in Commerce, Management & Law section. Mansi Tikhile an Electrical Engineering student of BIT won gold in Medicine and Pharmacy segment while Amruta Bawane from Kamal Prakash Pharmacy College, Kherda won silver in the same section. In Agriculture & Animal Husbandry theme Devesh Mahakal and Prajwal Wankhede from NSPM College of Pharmacy, Darwha won Gold and Silver medal respectively. In Pure Sciences, Pawan Timande, Mechanical Engineering student of BIT won gold while silver was bagged by Gaurav Pandit from NSPM College of Pharmacy, Darwha. Computer Engineering students of BIT, Suyash Patalbansi and Yashwardhan Katkamwar won gold and silver respectively in the Humanities, Languages & Fine Arts section.
Faculty of BIT, Wardha Dr. Jayesh Ruikar and Mrs. Naina Jagyasi coordinated the event. Mr. Sandesh Jain, Asst. Prof., BIT worked hard to make the event successful. Dr. Narendra Kanhe, Principal BIT appreciated the efforts of coordinators of AVISHKAR 2022 and their team for successfully organizing the event. He congratulated the winners of zonal round and their mentors, and also wished them best for the University level round.
