8 April 24, Nagpur: A team of first year students of Computer Engineering branch at BIT, Vansh Rekhi, Rushikesh Sawarkar, and Sayali Muley, secured 3rd prize at ‘Gyan Sabha’, a seminar competition organized by Yashwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur. The competition held on 6th April 24, attracted participation from more than 25 teams across the state, offering a platform for budding engineers to showcase their knowledge and presentation skills.
‘Gyan Sabha’ provided an opportunity for students to delve into diverse scientific domains, including Nanotechnology, Superconductivity, Space Science, Optical Fibre, Laser, and Magnetic Materials. The presentations were evaluated based on criteria such as content accuracy, time management, presentation skills, and responsiveness to queries.
The team of first year students from BIT Wardha captivated the audience and judges with their insightful presentation on Magnetic Materials, delving into the discovery of magnets, the principles of the Weiss law and the significance of hysteresis curves. Their presentation highlighted the diverse applications of magnetic materials, particularly ferrites, emphasizing their pivotal role in various aspects of daily life. Dr. Vivek Bhusari, Professor of Chemistry and Dr. Vijay Deshmukh Professor of Physics at BIT, Wardha mentored the students for this project.
The team was honoured with a trophy, certificates, and books in recognition of winning 3rd prize in the competition. Chairman of Shiksha Mandal Shri Sanjay Bhargava and Principal of BIT Dr. Narendra Kanhe appreciated the students on their achievement.
