Bajaj Institute of Technology (BIT), Wardha has emerged as an undisputed champion at the Avishkar 2024 University Level Competition hosted by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), at its campus in Lonere on Dec 24, 2023. The institute’s stellar performance saw four of its students clinching top honours, securing 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze medal. With four medals BIT bagged the title of Champion Institute for maximum number of wins from a single college on account of their outstanding performance in two major categories: Engineering & Technology and Commerce Management & Law.
Amidst the fierce competition, students from 96 colleges across Maharashtra showcased their talents in six diverse categories, including Engineering and Technology, Pure Science, Commerce Management and Law, Medical and Pharmacy, Animal Husbandry, and Humanities Fine Art and Language, during Avishkar 24. Participants in this university-level round had successfully navigated through the challenging institute-level and zonal-level rounds. The competition was followed by training the winning students for further rounds from Dec25 to 27, 2023.
Shrawani Wagh, a Computer Engineering student and Aastha Ghongade a Civil Engineering student of BIT, were both awarded Gold Medals in the category of Commerce & Law and Engineering & Technology respectively. Additionally, Sakshi Rakhunde, a student of Civil Engineering Dept. of BIT secured a Silver Medal in Commerce & Law category while Pranav Pathekar a Computer Engineering student of BIT earned Bronze Medal in the Humanities category.
