The ARAI Technovuus Mobility Hackathon was organized for the first time by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), TechNovuus, in collaboration with ARAI Academy, outreach partner SAEINDIA and implementation partner i4C. It is a nationwide initiative of Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) that provides engineering students a platform to solve some of the pressing problems of the society, specifically in the mobility sector.
36 hours were given by the organizers of this hackathon competition to the contestants to provide solutions for the given statement of problem. This hackathon competition was a race against time and was conducted at ARAI Kothrud facility Pune. The problem statement was “Reducing glare from headlamps of oncoming vehicles”. The objective of the hackathon competition is to empower engineering students and present the opportunity of making mobility safer, smarter and more sustainable.
