Wardha, June 23, 2026 — Bajaj Institute of Technology (BIT), Wardha recently organized an insightful Awareness Programme on Eco-Care and Disaster Management through its Energy and Environment Cell in collaboration with the Scientists, Engineers and Architects (SEA) Wing of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 100 students, faculty members and staff, reflecting the institute’s commitment towards environmental sustainability, responsible citizenship, and disaster preparedness.
The programme featured expert sessions by Shri Mohanbhai Singhal, Chief of the SEA Wing and former Superintending Engineer, ONGC; Shri Mahesh Bhai, Sister B.K. Tarika and Sister Madhu all from Brahma Kumaris. The speakers highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, sustainable living, disaster preparedness, and value-based living. Sister B.K. Tarika conducted a meditation session for students, while Shri Mahesh Bhai administered a pledge to protect the environment, plant trees, and control pollution. Dr. Narendra Kanhe, Principal, BIT Wardha, welcomed the dignitaries with floral bouquet and encouraged students to become responsible environmental stewards.
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Amruta Yadao, In-charge, Energy and Environment Cell. The initiative strengthened awareness regarding environmental protection and sustainable practices, especially at a time when the nation is facing the growing challenges of climate change and rising temperatures.
