Wardha March 2025 – Students of Bajaj Institute of Technology (BIT), Wardha achieved remarkable success winning in DIPEX 2026, the 35th State-Level Exhibition-cum-Competition of Working Models, bringing pride to the institution. The event was organized by Srijan and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) with Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, from 5th to 8th March 2026 in offline mode.
The exhibition organized under the theme ‘Sustainable Civil Infrastructures,’ provided a platform for students from across the state to showcase their innovative working models and technological ideas. The competition aimed to encourage the participants to develop innovative solutions aimed at sustainable development, infrastructure improvement, and disaster management.
The team ‘Soil Protectors’, comprising of Mehar Wagh, Lokesh Kadam, Bhushan Patne, Sandesha Chaudhari, Khushiya Bijwar, and Nikita Charde, all the third year Civil Engineering students of Bajaj Institute of Technology, Wardha, secured the winner position in the degree section, for their project titled ‘Development of Sustainable Material for Crack Mitigation and Disaster Management.’ The project demonstrated an innovative approach towards improving the durability and sustainability of civil infrastructure while addressing challenges related to disaster management. Dr. Ram Wanare, Asst. Professor, Civil Engineering, mentored the students. His guidance and technical inputs played an important role in shaping the concept and successful presentation of the project.
The team expressed gratitude to the Chairman of Shiksha Mandal, Shri Sanjay Bhargava, for his unwavering support along with the Principal of BIT, Dr. Narendra Kanhe whose constant encouragement and academic vision encourages innovation and research-oriented learning at BIT. Special appreciation was also extended to the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Deepak Mangrulkar (Associate Professor), along with the faculty members Dr. Vikas Thakur, Prof. Amit Khandve, Dr. Prathik Kulkarni, Prof. Vikas Ravekar, Dr. Harshad Phadke, Dr. Nisha Thakur, and Dr. Aditya Nilawar, whose valuable inputs, suggestions, and encouragement helped refine the project into a state-level winning model.
The Chairman of Shiksha Mandal, Shri Sanjay Bhargava, the Principal of BIT, Dr. Narendra Kanhe, the Head of the Department and faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department congratulated and appreciated the students and the mentor for this outstanding achievement, which has brought recognition and pride to Bajaj Institute of Technology, Wardha at the state level.
