International Conference ASSET 2026

Achieving another significant milestone in its pursuit of academic excellence, Shiksha Mandal’s Bajaj Institute of Technology (BIT), Wardha, successfully organized its first International Conference on Advancements in Science, Sustainability, Engineering & Technology (ASSET-2026) on 23rd and 24th July 2026. Organized in academic collaboration with Synergy Minds, Malaysia, with whom BIT Wardha has signed an MoU, the conference brought together researchers, academicians, scientists and industry experts from India, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, China, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia to deliberate on emerging technologies, sustainability and engineering innovations. The conference marked a historic achievement for the institute, which has completed just nine years since its establishment in 2017. The occasion was particularly significant as Shiksha Mandal, which hosted India’s first international academic conferences in 1937, witnessed one of its youngest institutions organizing its maiden international conference.

The inaugural session was graced by Dr. S. K. Singh, Chief Scientist, Structural Engineering Group and Professor, AcSIR at CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, as the Chief Guest. Sharing the dais were Shri Sanjay Bhargava, Chairman, Shiksha Mandal; Dr. Narendra Kanhe, Principal, BIT Wardha; and conference convenors Dr. Prathik Kulkarni and Dr. Roshan Marode, both Asst. Professors at BIT Wardha. Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Prathik Kulkarni stated that the primary objective of ASSET-2026 was to provide a vibrant global platform for researchers. Dr. Roshan Marode highlighted the journey of the conference and acknowledged the support of Synergy Minds, Malaysia in transforming the vision into reality. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Narendra Kanhe quoted Albert Einstein and expressed confidence that the conference would inspire meaningful innovations and technology-driven startups if researchers would change gears to change results. In his inaugural address, Dr. S. K. Singh emphasized the importance of sustainability-oriented research and encouraged participants to collaborate with industries to develop commercially viable technologies. Shri Sanjay Bhargava, in his presidential address, urged researchers to undertake application-oriented research with economic impact that shall be useful to the society at large.

The conference received an overwhelming response with over 180 research papers from researchers representing India, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, China, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. Following a rigorous review process, 89 high-quality papers were shortlisted for presentation during the two-day conference. The event featured keynote addresses by distinguished academicians including Dr. S. K. Singh, Dr. Waleligne Molla Salilew (Shandong University of Science and Technology, China), Dr. Sameer S. Gajghate (Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, Malaysia), Dr. V. Murugaiyan (Puducherry Technological University), Dr. N. Poonguzhali (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi), Mr. Uttam Raj Sutrave, Manager QA/QC, CASAGRAND Hyder wise, Dr. S. R. Rohith Mane (Hyderabad Water Supply Department) and Prof. Dr. Prakash S. Pajgade (PRMIT&R, Amravati), who also chaired the technical sessions before paper presentations commenced across various engineering disciplines. The papers recommended by expert reviewers will be published in Scopus-indexed journals, providing international visibility to quality research.

The conference concluded with the valedictory function in the presence of Mr. Sunil Patil and Mr. Paritosh Haldar, Vice Presidents and Centre Heads of two different plants of Evonith Steel, along with Mr. Vivekanand Mishra, Manager, Evonith Steel. During the ceremony, Best Paper Awards were presented across all engineering disciplines. In Civil Engineering, Mr. Nischay Katore, Mr. Saksham Deshmukh and Mrs. Amruta Yadao jointly received the best paper award; in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Pramod Sahare and Mr. Ojas Kidilay were honoured; in Electrical Engineering, Dr. ParthaSarathi Subudhi, Mrs. Kirti Madan and Dr. Kantilal Joshi shared the best paper award; while Mr. Aditya Kadu received the best paper award in Computer Engineering. The inaugural session was compered by Dr. Naina Jagyasi and Dr. Nikhil Sohoni, while Dr. Harshad Phadke and Mrs. Harsha Jain conducted the valedictory session. The successful organization of ASSET-2026 has reaffirmed Bajaj Institute of Technology’s enduring commitment to excellence in higher education, meaningful research and international knowledge exchange.
