Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) is the flagship CSR initiative of Bajaj Auto Ltd. in collaboration with top NIRF-ranked universities and engineering colleges. It aims to build state-of-the-art centres with laboratories having world-class equipment that will enable the hands-on-skilling of thousands of young people, making them competent and employable. The BEST centres will train engineers and diploma holders and help address the skill gap in the manufacturing industry. BEST aims to support youth from socially and economically weaker sections of society through scholarships, and help them gain sustainable livelihoods.
Institute has sprawling 31.2 acres of campus. Its infrastructure has been designed by an American architect Mr. Christopher Benninger who has to his credit successfully completed projects like Royal Supreme Court and United Nations House Thimphu, Bhutan, Indian Institute of Technology and State Bank of Hyderabad, Suzlon One Earth Global Corporate Headquarters and TATA Computational Research Centre Pune,. This uniquely designed architecture has given impetus to the modernization of Wardha city which is known for ancient cultural heritage and India’s Freedom movement .
Library provides a wide range of text books, reference books , recommended AICTE and UGC journals, CDs, videos DELNET facility and other reading material. For E-learning, library has its own computer lab with internet where students can access MOOCs platforms such as SWAYAM by NPTEL, Coursera, EDx, Udacity etc.
Institute has well equipped labs and classrooms for smooth conduction of academics. All the departmental labs are equipped with state of the art machinery, instruments and latest licensed softwares. Students learn the concepts in the most practical way by working with Boiler, UTM Machine, Creo Design Tools, etc.
Computer Center has ample number of computer terminals that are connected to 500 MbPS Lease line network . It provides access at any time to students for their computational and informational access tasks.
A 1600 Sq.mtr. spacious workshop provides workplace for students to practice various operations such as carpentry, cutting, bending, welding, machining, plumbing and fitting, sheet metal processing, etc. The students also learn use of various hand tools, power tools, machine tools and their applications in different sections of manufacturing. Students can also carry out their mini projects and fabrications here.
Solid Waste Management: Separate bins for recyclable and non-recyclable wastes, Paperless Communication, Usage of one-sided paper, Metal and other scraps recycling, Sanitary napkin incinerator, Awareness camps for Plastic free Campus
Liquid Waste Management: Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), recycled water is used for gardens, Sprinklers to prevent water wastage, Rain Water Harvesting system.
